About Katherine Chevalier
Associate Attorney, Estate Planning and Probate Law
Katherine Chevalier is an Associate Attorney who focuses on estate planning and probate matters, working with families, individuals, and business owners in the Austin area. She is especially passionate about helping families with special needs members plan for the future, along with guiding clients through uncontested probate matters. Katherine has been an estate planning and probate attorney since becoming licensed in Texas in October of 2024, and she holds a Guardianship Certification with the State Bar of Texas.
Before joining the estate planning field, Katherine served as a student attorney with the St. Mary's Center for Legal and Social Justice Housing Rights Clinic, where she represented individuals facing eviction and housing instability. That early experience shaped her approach to the law today, one grounded in compassion and a genuine desire to help people navigate difficult moments in their lives.
Katherine is dedicated to making the estate planning and probate process approachable and understandable for her clients. She believes that when people are given clear, practical guidance, they feel empowered to make informed decisions about their families, their futures, and the legacies they want to leave behind. Her warm and thoughtful approach to client service reflects her belief that estate planning should never feel overwhelming or out of reach.
Katherine is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is looking forward to growing her practice around special needs trusts and estate planning for families with special needs children, and she hopes to expand her work supporting LGBTQIA+ families as well.
Outside of the office, Katherine enjoys spending time on walking trails with her husband and son and is currently learning how to crochet.
